Social Studies Supervisor Wins State Recognition
Georgia Leadership Association for the Social Studies honors Cobb's Eddie Bennett.
Eddie Bennett, the sixth- to 12th-grade social studies supervisor for the Cobb County School District, has been named the 2010 Georgia Leadership Association for the Social Studies (GLASS) Outstanding Social Studies Supervisor.
Bennett was nominated as "an exemplary social studies leader worthy of emulation," wrote colleague JoAnn Wood, the elementary social studies supervisor in Cobb County. She added, "He is always warm and humorous, the consummate professional, and an inspiration as an engaged and active citizen who cares deeply about our state, nation and world."
One letter of support from a colleague said Bennett has "the highest standards in his life's work, has great integrity and values, and is someone you can count on. … I admire him so much."
