Historic Civil-War Era House for Sale

A Civil War-era house, built in 1856, is for sale.
The Cheney-Newcomer House, owned by the Cobb Preservation Foundation, served as the headquarters of Union Major General John M. Schofield who led Ohio forces during the battle of Kennesaw Mountain in 1864.
This Greek Revival plantation house, on Powder Springs Road, was built by Andrew Jackson Cheney. The exterior is stabilized but the interior needs rehabilitation.
