Welcome to the Kell Youth Football and Cheer Program,
We are looking forward to another terrific season for our football players and cheerleaders. As we prepare for our season we want to make sure that our parents have the important dates and information they need.
Volunteer Requirements
Find out what's happening in Northeast Cobbfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
In order for our program to be a success all parents are required to volunteer a minimum of (2) – two hour volunteer spots per participant. Parents are required to submit an undated check as a volunteer deposit in the amount of $75 (per participant) when they pick up their football equipment or at a cheer uniform fitting.
Prior to the season starting, an email will be sent out to all parents with a link to sign up for volunteer positions (email will come from Volunteer Spot.) You will be required to state your name, the participant you are volunteering for and your contact information. You will receive a reminder email from the system prior to your scheduled volunteer date and time. When you sign up for a volunteer spot, you are making a commitment to attend. Schedule changes must be made within 48 hours of the start of the event. If you do not show up for your volunteer spot your volunteer deposit check will be cash the next business day.

Fundraising
This season we are requiring all football and cheerleader to participant in a program wide fundraiser. More information on the fundraiser, requirements, etc. will be issued at the beginning of the season. The proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards purchasing equipment, uniforms, end of the year gifts, etc.
Hawaiian Raffle Tickets
Each season we ask parents to sell a minimum of 10 raffle tickets for a trip for two to Hawaii. The prize includes two first class airline tickets and a four night stay in a luxury hotel. Tickets will be issued during the third week of practice and tickets will need to be returned by October 10, 2016.
Code of Conduct
Practices and games are not drop-off events. If you are unable to stay with your child during practice you will need to let the coach and team mom know in writing (by email or text) which adult is responsible for your child in your absence. Children who do not have a responsible adult on the sideline or on the track will not participate. Simply being on-campus (at the stadium, in the school, in the parking lot, etc.) will still require you to name a responsible adult present at the field.
Coaches are volunteers and their goal is to teach your child the proper techniques of football or cheer. Unsportsmanlike behavior, obscene language, physical threats, etc. will not be tolerated. If such behavior is witnessed, appropriate disciplinary action may be taken by the coach or Youth Board member. This may include a warning, being required to leave the field, collection of equipment without a refund, etc.
Coaches and parents should both work together to make practices and games as fun and enjoyable as possible.
