Lassiter Student Competing on World Stage
Senior Bryan Powell is competing at the International Wheelchair & Amputee Sports Federation World Junior Games in Puerto Rico.

A 17-year-old Lassiter High School honor student with cerebral palsy is representing the United States at the International Wheelchair & Amputee Sports Federation World Junior Games in Puerto Rico.
Bryan Powell last month set national records in five track and field events at the National Junior Disability Championships in Rochester, Minn., where he won six gold medals, according to the Cobb County School District's website.
The world competition, which started Tuesday, ends Aug. 14.
