Lutzenkirchen Staying at Auburn

The tight end from Lassiter decides the NFL can wait another year.

alumnus announced Sunday that he will stay at Auburn for his senior year instead of entering the NFL draft early this spring.

The made his announcement through his Twitter account: "It's official world. I'm staying for SR year. War eagle!"

Having played on a national championship team as a sophomore, the Northeast Cobb resident hopes to do it again as a senior. He told Auburn Undercover he things the Tigers have a legitimate shot at the title next season.

Lutzenkirchen had 24 catches for 238 yards and seven touchdowns this season and is Auburn's career leader in touchdown catches by a tight end with 14, the Opelika Auburn News said.

He was named second-team All-Southeastern Conference in December. Georgia's Orson Charles was first-team All-SEC.
