5K Raises $8,000 for Scholarship in Memory of Ryan King
Help contribute to Remember 11 by dining out at an Oconee restaurant today.
A 5K race Saturday, June 29, raised money for a scholarship in memory of an Oconee County High School freshman, Ryan King of Bishop, who died in May.Â
The Remember 11 5K raised $8,000 for the scholarship. Ryan played soccer at OCHS and wore the number 11, and the scholarship will be given to a senior soccer player.Â
Chops & Hops announced on its Facebook page that the restaurant will donate 10 percent of total sales from July 1 to the scholarship fund.
