COVID-19 Deaths Reported In Oconee, Clarke Counties

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Monday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Department of Public Health listed confirmed deaths in Clarke and Morgan counties, and the seven-day rolling average of added confirmed deaths in the Northeast Health District increased slightly.
  • The Department of Community Health listed a COVID-19 death—not considered to be confirmed by the Department of Public Health—at a nursing home in Oconee County.
  • The District added 45 new cases of COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases decreased.
  • The rolling averages of added cases in Oconee and Clarke counties also decreased.
  • Area hospitals reported an increase of six in the number of COVID-19 patients.
  • Georgia is one of only seven states in the country not reporting vaccinations data by county.
  • Georgia ranks second from last among states in terms of number of vaccines administered and percentage of the population that is vaccinated.
