NE Health District Adds 199 COVID Cases, Six Deaths From Disease
Oconee County Schools reported no Active Cases and no Active Quarantines in final report for the year.

The Northeast Health District added 199 new cases of COVID-19 in the week ending on Friday and six new confirmed deaths attributed to the disease.
The 199 added cases of COVID-19 compare with the 264 added cases and seven confirmed deaths added in the week ending May14.
Oconee County added five cases in the week ending on Friday, while Clarke County added 36.

In the week ending on May 14, Oconee County added 11 cases and Clarke County added 51.
Two of the six confirmed deaths from COVID-19 in the last week in the 10-county Northeast Health District were in Clarke County, while the others were in Jackson, Madison, and Walton counties.

The Clarke County deaths were of a 77-year-old male without a chronic condition and an 81-year-old female with a chronic condition.
In its final COVID-19 Status Report for the year Oconee County Schools listed no Active COVID-19 cases and no Active Quarantines Due to Close Contact.
