NE Health District Adds 85 COVID-19 Cases, Pushing Up Average

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Wednesday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added 85 new COVID-19 cases, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases increased.
  • The District added two confirmed deaths from the disease, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths dropped.
  • One of the confirmed deaths was in Oconee County, which also had added a death from COVID-19 on Sunday.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added cases decreased slightly in Oconee County and increased slightly in Clarke County.
  • Area hospitals reported three fewer COVID-19 patients than on Tuesday.
  • Oconee County and the City of Watkinsville are partnering in a mass COVID-19 vaccination on April 17 at the Civic Center.
