NE Health District Lags State, State Lags Nation in Vaccinations

The seven-day rolling average of added cases increased in the District and in both Oconee and Clarke counties.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Tuesday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

The Northeast Health District added 50 COVID-19 cases, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases increased.
The District did not add any confirmed deaths from the disease, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths remained unchanged.
The seven-day rolling averages of added cases increased in both Oconee and Clarke counties.
Area hospitals reported a decline in the number of COVID-19 patients, ICU beds in use, and adult ventilators in use.
The Department of Public Health reported that 12.7 percent of the population of the Northeast Health District is vaccinated, below the state figure of 13.9 percent.
Oconee County has 19.5 percent of its residents vaccinated, while Clarke County has 13.6 percent.
