Oconee County Proclaims November 1 “Retired Educators Day”

Oconee County Commissioner Mark Thomas presented a proclamation recognizing Sunday, November 1, 2020, as “Retired Educators Day” to Georgia Retired Educators Association members (from left) Wilhelmina M. Bowles, Patricia Huff, Jackie Thomason, Ida Scotland-Jenkins, and Linda Fair. The Retired Educators of Georgia collectively donate thousands of hours of volunteer service, and their contributions to the community are invaluable. Oconee County salutes these tireless individuals and thanks each and every one for their dedication to the young people of Oconee County and the state of Georgia.
