Oconee Reports Third COVID-19 Death At Area Care Homes In Two Day

- The Department of Community Health reported two deaths from COVID-19 at an Oconee County personal care home.
- The deaths follow the report by the Department of Community Health of death at a separate long-term care facility in Oconee County on Monday.
- The Department of Public Health did not report any “confirmed” deaths in the 10-county Northeast Health District, which includes Oconee County.
- The Department of Public Health listed only 35 new cases of COVID-19 in the Northeast Health District, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases decreased.
- Area hospitals reported an increase in COVID-19 patients for the second day in a row.
- North Oconee High School reported the fifth positive COVID-19 test in the school over the last seven days.
