Rolling Averages Added COVID Cases, Deaths In District Unchanged

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added 66 COVID-19 cases, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases increased slightly.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added cases in both Oconee and Clarke counties decreased.
  • The District added three confirmed deaths from COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths fell just slightly.
  • Oconee County Schools reported only two Active COVID-19 Cases in the system’s schools and only eight individuals in quarantine.
  • Area hospitals reported a small increase in the number of COVID-19 patients.
  • The Northeast Health District continues to lag the state in administration or COVID-19 vaccines.
