Rolling Averages Added COVID Cases, Deaths Down Again In District

Oconee County Schools report a big drop in Active Cases and Active Quarantines.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The seven-day rolling averages of added COVID-19 cases and added deaths from the disease dropped for the second day in a row.
  • The District added 73 new cases and six confirmed COVID-19 deaths.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added cases increased in Oconee County but decreased slightly in Clarke County.
  • Oconee County Schools reported eight Active COVID-19 Cases and 31 Active Quarantines, down from 17 Active Cases and 83 Quarantines last week.
  • The numbers of Active Cases and Quarantines have not been this low since early November.
  • Area hospitals reported no change in the number of COVID-19 patients.
