GAC Soccer Star Named High School All-American

A Norcross-area soccer player has been named a high school all-American.

Will Hamryka of Greater Atlanta Christian School who led the Spartans to the Class 2A championship in his senior season this spring, was named to National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s Winter-Spring High School Boys All-American Team, which was released Wednesday.

Hamryka was one of two Gwinnett (and Georgia) players named to the 15-player team.

Two Georgia girls were named to the team: Jennifer Westendorf of Grayson High and Treva Aycock of Harrison High in Marietta.

Hamryka was named a Gwinnett County Goal Club player of the year last spring, the Gwinnett Daily Post reported.
