Georgia Weather Forecast: How Warm Will This Weekend Get?

ATLANTA, GA — After record-high temperatures this week, the weekend forecast for metro Atlanta calls for more warm days. It may not feel like the height of summer, but there won't be a seasonal autumn nip in the air, either.

Highs will get into the 80s both days this weekend, before temperatures are expected to dip next week. It should be mostly sunny, too, although there's a slight chance of rain Friday night and again Sunday night.

Here's your weekend weather forecast for metro Atlanta, from the National Weather Service:

Friday Night: A 10 percent chance of showers before 7 p.m. Patchy fog after 5 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 66.

Saturday: Patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 81. East wind 5 to 10 m.p.h. Saturday night, partly cloudy, with a low around 65.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday night. Partly cloudy, with a low around 62.
