Georgia Weather Forecast: Some Rain, Some Sunshine This Weekend

We're looking at one rainy and windy night this weekend, with otherwise pleasant temperatures and clear skies.

ATLANTA, GA — There's a little bit of rain and a little bit of sunshine on tap this weekend in metro Atlanta, where we're in for what looks like a mostly mild and pleasant couple of days.

Highs will be in the upper 60s on Saturday and cool off a little on Sunday, with a forecast high of 59.

There's a 30 percent chance of some showers on Saturday, mainly after 5 p.m. The chance for rain jumps up to 70 percent Saturday night, so plan on it being a wet one. It's predicted to be windy Saturday night, too — with gusts up to 30 m.p.h. — and there will be a chance of a thunderstorm in the area.

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 5 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 69. South wind 5 to 15 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 25 m.p.h. Saturday night, a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m., then rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. After that, a chance of rain after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. Southwest wind around 15 m.p,h. becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 m.p.h. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 52. Northwest wind around 15 m.p.h, with gusts as high as 25 m.p.h. Clear Sunday night, with a low around 32.
