Highs in metro Atlanta are forecast to be in the mid-80s this weekend, with a slight chance of storms increasing Sunday night.

ATLANTA, GA — If you're out and about this weekend in the Atlanta area, you're going to want to make sure it's in shorts and short sleeves.

In the grand tradition of Georgia weather, spring is going feel a whole lot like summer this weekend. High temperatures in metro Atlanta are forecast to be in the mid-80s all weekend long.

There's a slight chance of thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday, increasing to a more than 50-50 chance by Sunday night. But whether you're hitting a festival or just getting some yard work done this weekend, you'll likely have some warm, dry weather to do it.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. South wind around 10 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 20 m.p.h. A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday night. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65.
