With Tropical Storm Cindy's remnants cleared out, metro Atlanta is in for at least a few days of sunny skies.

ATLANTA, GA — After a week of stormy weather, metro Atlanta looks poised for at least a few days of sunshine.

With the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy having blown through the region, the clear skies most of the area saw this weekend are forecast to continue at least through the middle of this work week.

High temperatures will start the week in the lower 80s, inching their way up to the upper 80s by next weekend. A small chance of thunderstorms will emerge on Thursday, increasing into the weekend.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday night. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71.
