Georgia Weather Forecast: Sunny Days Ahead

ATLANTA, GA — After a week of stormy weather, metro Atlanta looks poised for at least a few days of sunshine.

With the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy having blown through the region, the clear skies most of the area saw this weekend are forecast to continue at least through the middle of this work week.

High temperatures will start the week in the lower 80s, inching their way up to the upper 80s by next weekend. A small chance of thunderstorms will emerge on Thursday, increasing into the weekend.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Monday night, partly cloudy, with a low around 65.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Mostly clear Tuesday night, with a low around 63.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 85. Wednesday night, mostly clear, with a low around 68.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Thursday night, a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday night. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71.
