Georgia Weather Forecast: Warm, Rainy Days This Work Week

ATLANTA, GA — Metro Atlanta is going to see even more warm weather this week, but with lots of rain to accompany it.

Wednesday will be when temperatures peak, with a high expected to reach somewhere around 81 degrees. The other days will consistently be in the mid-to-upper 70s.

It's also going to be wet.

Thursday and Friday will bring us the highest likelihood of showers and thunderstorms, but every single day brings some possibility of precipitation.

Here's a look at this week's weather forecast for metro Atlanta, from the National Weather Service:

Monday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Monday night, a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60.

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Partly cloudy Tuesday night, with a low around 57.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. Mostly clear, with a low around 58.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Friday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday night. Partly cloudy, with a low around 53.
