Gwinnett Braves to Hold Benefit for Tripp Halstead

The Gwinnett Braves will hold a 5k and "Tripp Halstead Night" to raise money for the toddler injured in Barrow County last year.

The Gwinnett Braves announced Monday they will hold a 5k to raise funds for when a tree limb hit him in the head during Hurricane Sandy last fall. 

The race called "Tripp's Trot" will take place Saturday, June 22nd at 8am at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, Ga. Registration is $25 before May 22nd and increases to $35 the day of the event. 

There will also be a Fun Run. Registration for that is $20.

Runners can register at trippstrot.com.

The support will continue later that day with "Tripp Halstead Night" at the G-Braves game against the Syracuse Chiefs. A portion of funds raised from the concession stands and a Tennis Toss after the game will go to the Halstead family.
