Peachtree Corners Council Race Headed To Runoff
Incumbent Jeanne Aulbach and challenger Joe Sawyer will face off in a Dec. 5 election after neither won 50 percent of the vote.

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA — The race isn't over for an incumbent Peachtree Corners council member and her challenger after neither managed to win more than half of the votes cast on Tuesday.
Councilwoman Jeanne Aulbach and local business owner and civic leader Joe Sawyer will meet in a Dec. 5 runoff for the council's Post 4 seat.
Aulbach finished Tuesday with 894 votes, compared to 780 for Sawyer. Luke Crawford, a 24-year-old gun-rights advocate, received 369 votes. In Georgia, if no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote, a runoff is held between the top two finishers.
