Peachtree Elementary Receives $9K Grant

The Peachtree Corners school was awarded in the Georgia United's 2nd Annual School Crashers makeover program.

A local credit union made a special deposit at Peachtree Elementary School recently.

Officials with Georgia United Credit Union delivered a $9,000 runner-up media center grant and a box of student supplies to the school as part of its School Crashers program.

Mary Tyner, Peachtree Elementary media specialist, submitted the application to be a part of Georgia United’s 2nd Annual School Crashers makeover program last spring.

The school is one of five runner-up grant recipients selected from hundreds of entries. The school will use the grant to purchase technology-friendly flexible seating to promote collaborative learning.
