Popular Restaurant Receives 74-C During Inspection

Following is a list of five Peachtree Corners restaurants which have been inspected recently by the Gwinnett County's Board of Health.
The Board inspects area restaurants every six months which are then graded based on an extensive criteria that includes everything from food being stored at proper temperatures to employee hygiene.
Restaurants are required to display these reports in a prominent place for diners to view. This is what we found in a random search of inspections on the county's website.

Comments: Bulk products removed from their original packages, and not labeled with the common name of the food. Product labeled at time of inspection. Working containers holding food or food ingredients that are removed from their original packages for use in the food establishment, such as cooking oils, flour, herbs, potato flakes, salt, spices, and sugar shall be identified with the common name of the food. Follow up in 3-10 days.

Location: 3280 Holcomb Bridge Road
Inspection Date: April 2, 2013
Grade: 95-A
Comments: Single-use gloves used for multiple tasks that present risk for cross-contamination. At time of inspection, observed employee handle top portion of trash can with gloves on and then handle clean equipment/utensils with same pair of gloves. Employee corrected and advised to remove gloves and wash hands. Must ensure single use gloves are removed when becoming contaminated.

Comments: Employees observed working with food and making drinks while wearing jewelry other than a plain wedding band. The employees removed the jewelry including rings and bracelets before continuing to work with food. No jewelry other than a smooth plain wedding band should be worn while working with food to help prevent possible contamination.
