Chatham County Curfew Imposed Monday Night: Hurricane Irma
A curfew is in effect for Chatham County Monday night. The county, except for Tybee Island, is now open for re-entry.

SAVANNAH, GA — A curfew is in effect from 11 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Chatham County officials said. (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Or, if you have an iPhone, download the free Patch app.)
Chatham County, except for Tybee Island, is now open for re-entry, but county officials strongly encourage residents to wait until Tuesday to return if possible.
"Conditions will be safer then, and there is a greater probability of having power on if you wait," officials said in a news release.

Tybee Island is inaccessible and will remain closed until further notice, officials said.

Chatham County is under a flood warning until 12:15 a.m. Tuesday. The county is also under a tropical storm warning, a storm surge warning and a tornado watch until 10 p.m.
