City offices to close at 1 p.m. today due to anticipated severe weather
SAVANNAH (March 18) – Chatham County has decided to suspend their services due to the weather forecast. In the interest of emergency management cooperation, the City of Savannah will suspend all non-essential services and close the following city offices at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 18, 2021:
- City Hall
- Savannah Morning News Building
- Coastal Georgia Center
- Entrepreneurial Center
- Parking Services administrative office
- Development Services
- Recreation and Leisure Services administration office
- Community Centers
- 311
Additionally, sanitation services will be suspended at 1 p.m. to allow teams to be off the roads when severe weather begins. All other critical workforce personnel will be sheltered no later than 2 p.m.
