Michael Francis Crampton

Michael Francis Crampton, of Joliet, IL, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019, at the age of 39. Michael was born in Joliet on September, 27, 1979, the son of Michael T. and Debra R. (nee Egan) Crampton. He was a graduate of Lincolnway Central High School, Class of 1998. Michael was a veteran of the United States Army, 3rd Infantry, and was stationed at Ft. Stewart in Hinesville, GA, proudly serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Michael was a former employee at International-Matex Tank Terminals Chemical Company in Lemont as a Terminal Operator. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time in the gym lifting weights.

Michael is survived by his parents, Michael T. (Jennifer) Crampton of Madisonville, LA and Debra R. Crampton of Mauldin, SC; brother, Ross Crampton; sister, Alicia (fiancé Jon Beckstrom) Crampton; and step-sister, Caroline Montz.

He is preceded by faithful canine companion, Capone.

Funeral Services for Michael Francis Crampton were held privately by the family at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL. Interment took place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Wounded Warrior Project or PTSD Foundation of America (Camp Hope) would be appreciated.
