SAVANNAH, GA (May 20, 2021) – Savannah Police Department has arrested a suspect connected to four business robberies in the downtown area over a four-day period.

Dennis Leonard Parker, 32, was booked into the Chatham County jail on four counts of robbery by intimidation.

Officers responded to a robbery of Savannah Rae’s Gourmet Popcorn, 206 W. Broughton St., at 11 a.m. May 14; a robbery of House of Strut, 20 W. State St., at 1 p.m. May 16; and a robbery of Woof Gang, 141 Bull St., at 4:45 p.m. May 16. In all instances, the suspect demanded cash from the employees. In two of the cases, he left with an undisclosed amount of cash from the store.

At 3:50 p.m. May 17, officers received a call for a similar robbery of Le Macaron, 204 Broughton St., with a suspect matching the description from the previous cases. The suspect had left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers saturated the area and were quickly able to locate the suspect in another area of downtown.

State St., at 1 p.m. May 16; and a robbery of Woof Gang, 141 Bull St., at 4:45 p.m. May 16. In all instances, the suspect demanded cash from the employees. In two of the cases, he left with an undisclosed amount of cash from the store.

At 3:50 p.m. May 17, officers received a call for a similar robbery of Le Macaron, 204 Broughton St., with a suspect matching the description from the previous cases. The suspect had left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers saturated the area and were quickly able to locate the suspect in another area of downtown.
