Dennis Fred Moore, 65, of Snellville
The long-time Snellville resident was the salutatorian of South Gwinnett High for the Class of 1966. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and sightseeing.

Dennis Fred Moore of Snellville, GA was born December 3, 1948 and raised in Snellville, GA. He succumbed to heart failure on the evening of October 21, 2013 while tending to the plants and nature he loved outside in the yard of his home.
Survived by: wife of 18 years, Glenavon ’Glen’ Moore of Snellville, GA; his parents, Fred and Frances Moore of Snellville; sister, Sonya Harper and nephew, Brent Plott of Grayson; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Alisa and Guto Filipe of Houston, TX; and Nadia and Marcus Claxton of Snellville; step-son and wife, Chance and Patti Adamson of McDonough; step-daughter and husband, Tiffany and Mike Wolf of Covington; 4 grandchildren, Isabella and Colby Filipe and Kayla and Alyssa Claxton; and seven step-grandchildren.
He was born December 3, 1948 and raised in Snellville, GA. He graduated salutatorian of South Gwinnett High School (Class of 1966) and attended Georgia Tech for 2 years. He married his first wife, Diana Hutchins and later moved and devoted years raising his two daughters under the Texan lifestyle he found in Houston for eight years. He later returned to Stone Mountain, GA.
After divorcing and remarrying, Dennis and Glen, finally circled back to Snellville, GA, to live on the same street and be within just a few winding houses and a creek away from his parents, Fred and Frances Moore. He and Glen have attended Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville, on a regular basis for the past 12 ½ years…members for the last 8 years.
Dennis dedicated 25 years of work to the automotive sales industry. He diligently applied his trade to Auto Nation Ford Lincoln (formerly Gene Evans Ford) in Union City, GA.
Dennis was a lover of his faith, family, history, and art. He was an avid reader of numerous books and volumes, with a special favored appreciation of The Holy Bible and Christian books. He particularly enjoyed many types of instrumental, jazz, world, new age, and Christian. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sightseeing with his father, Fred, son in law, Guto Filipe, and others. He also treasured Sunday services at Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville, GA, long conversations with his wife, daughters, and family, his membership with Sweetwater Masonic Lodge # 421 in Lilburn, GA, Texas, “the West,” Georgia, professional sports, the rev or soft purring engine of any Ford model car, anything “American Made,” good “old-fashioned” southern cuisine, and lawn & gardening.
Viewing services and arrangements made by Tom M. Wages Funeral Service in Snellville and was held Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. The Funeral was held in the Chapel of Tom M. Wages Funeral Service, Snellville , Georgia, Friday, October 25, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. with Buddy Hoffman, Mark Davis, and Jimmy Greer officiating.
