Glitch Caused Incorrect Storm Water Charges In Snellville

The corrected bills will be mailed later this week to roughly 4,000 residents whose stormwater charges were incorrect.

SNELLVILLE, GA — About half of the residents in Snellville will receive a corrected tax bill soon, according to the Tax Commissioner’s Office. A technical glitch caused some storm water assessments to have incorrect amounts, either higher or lower, Gwinnett County's Tax Commissioner’s Office said in a news release.

The second bills will be mailed later this week to roughly 4,000 residents whose storm water charges were incorrect; the bills will include a letter that explains the error, the county said.

Property owners can identify the corrected bills by their black ink vs. the blue ink of the originals, the county added.
