Gwinnett Deputies 'Leaving The Lights On' For Daring Fugitive

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA -- A fugitive, caught in Texas, will soon be back in Gwinnett County after he made a daring escape from Gwinnett County Sheriff's deputies, jumping from a 2nd story window.

"We’re happy to announce the arrest of fugitive Emmanuel Holcomb today in Dallas, Texas through a joint operation by the GCSO Fugitive Unit, US Marshals and Dallas Police Department," the Sheriff's Department reported Monday on its Facebook page.

Holcomb jumped from the second story window of his Snellville home last week as deputies attempted to serve local warrants. His daring escape was captured by a "Live PD" crew filming with deputies.

Holcomb attempted to escape Texas authorities by jumping through an upstairs window, but reconsidered after seeing the show of force exhibited by Texas authorities. He was taken into custody without further incident.

Holcomb is wanted by Gwinnett PD on charges of aggravated assault (x5), possession of a firearm with the intent to commit a felony (x5) and obstruction of law enforcement officers. He’s also wanted by Duluth Police on six misdemeanor warrants.

"We appreciate the efforts of the many law enforcement officers who’ve worked diligently to apprehend this dangerous criminal," the Facebook page read. "Holcomb is being held in the Dallas County Jail awaiting extradition to the Gwinnett County Jail.

"We’ll leave the light on."
