A Hope of Christmas, Even When Blue

A Service of Hope at Snellville UMC

During the holiday season, we watch “magical” Christmas movies, are invited to gatherings and parties, and hear songs declaring “it's the most wonderful time of the year.” The pressure to be jolly can be overwhelming when we’re feeling blue. For some, it really is the most wonderful time of the year, yet for others, it can be a time of sadness. Dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, and a number of other situations make parties and gatherings painful.

If you or someone you love is struggling with the Christmas blues, you are not alone. To help you through what may be a challenging Christmas season, please join us for a Service of Hope at Snellville United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 1st at 7pm in the Chapel. There, you will find comfort, healing, and peace.

Although it may not feel like the most wonderful time of the year, the event we are celebrating – “The Word became flesh and made his home among us” (John 1:14 CEB) – reminds us that Jesus is near, even when we are feeling blue.
