Jim 'N Nick's Barbecue Opens Snellville Location

SNELLVILLE, GA — Barbecue lovers have a new way to get their fix in Snellville.

Jim 'N Nick's Community Barbecue, which some Gwinnett County folks will know from the chain's Suwanee location, held its grand opening on Tuesday in Snellville.

The restaurant is located at 1190 Scenic Highway, at Essex Drive.

Jim 'N Nick's got its start in 1985, when the father and son team reclaimed an old pizza parlor in Birmigham, Alabama.

Today, the chain has 34 restaurants in seven states.

There already are locations in Suwanee, Forsyth County, Conyers and Acworth.

According to the Jim 'N Nick's website, local owners are taught the recipes and techniques, which they then pass on to cooks and pit masters in each location.

"Commitment to the flavors and hospitality of the South drives our team to keep exploring -- to continue meeting those who bring real food and soul to the table," the site reads.

The Snellville location will be open 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
