Snellville Man's Body Pulled from Utah Lake

The body of a Gwinnett County man was recovered Wednesday from a Utah Lake, two days after he drowned trying to help his wife. 

Numerous media reports, including those in Utah, identify the man as Joe Coffield, 61, of Snellville. 

Coffield and his wife were in Utah visiting Lake Powell, when Mrs. Coffield began drifting away.

Officials said the husband was trying to help her, when he went under the water and never resurfaced, as reported by 11 Alive. Coffield had been missing since Monday.

Authorities said the wife was wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident.
