Snellville resident joins rapidly growing Atlanta-based mortgage organization

PrivatePlus Mortgage, a division of Private Bank of Buckhead, has named Snellville resident James Murrill a Vice President and Mortgage Banker. He combines his love of working with people and numbers to guide clients on the path to home ownership.

“James’ in-depth knowledge of analyzing credit and hands-on experience in home financing enables him to match his clients with the mortgage that is right for them,” says Dan Smith, President of PrivatePlus. “He is particularly adept at working with first-time homebuyers and with FHA and USDA financing.”

Murrill attended Frostburg State College and is a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a Baltimore Police Officer for seven years before transitioning into the insurance industry, where he was recognized as a top-producing agent. He has more than 10 years of experience in the mortgage industry.

Away from work, Murrill founded and is the director of Georgia Enforcers Youth Program, which provides youth the opportunity to learn important life skills through basketball. Through the program, he mentors and coaches kids through their high school years. Murrill and his wife Lisa have three “beautiful daughters” and three “wonderful grandchildren.” They reside in Snellville.
