Victim Identified In Masked Murder, Manhunt On For 4-5 Men

SNELLVILLE, GA — The victim has been identified in an early Wednesday morning shooting and Gwinnett County Police say they are still searching for 4 to 5 men who were wearing masks and could be armed.

The victim in this case has been identified as Darius Daniels, 28, of Snellville. His family has been notified. There is no further information on suspects or motive at this time.

Gwinnett County Police are still looking for clues in the shooting that happened shortly before 4 a.m. Officers assigned to the South Precinct responded to a report of someone shot at the Homestay Suites at 4350 Stone Mountain Hwy in unincorporated Lilburn. Police say officers were on scene within four minutes of the call being dispatched where they located one man deceased in a hotel room.

Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators collected evidence and interviewed witnesses. The suspects are described as four to five men wearing all black with masks and believed to be armed. Police say their whereabouts are currently unknown.
