3 Teens Arrested, Mystery Murder Solved: Gwinnett Police

Three teenagers were charged Monday and a murder mystery solved, police say, after a body with a gunshot was found by children.

SUWANEE, GA – Three teenagers were charged with murder Monday and a murder mystery has been solved, Gwinnett Police say, after a body with a gunshot was found by children earlier in the month, near a home on Northcliff Drive in unincorporated Suwanee.

Willian A. Tunchez, 21, of Lawrenceville. was murdered and police believe the motive was robbery. An investigation led to the arrest of Franecha Torres, 17, of Norcross and Nicholas Evans, 17, and Khalil Miller, 18, both of Suwanee.

As the lead detective was researching the activities of the victim’s life prior to the homicide, he learned of three armed robberies that occurred near the crime scene during the same weekend in the city of Suwanee. Three teens were seen at the scenes of the robberies and near the homicide location. Suwanee detectives shared information related to the robberies with the Gwinnett Homicide Unit and worked with them to develop additional information on the incident.
