Body Found Likely That Of 25-Year-Old Missing Man
Gwinnett authorities think they located the body of Alec Davi, missing since May 4.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA -- The search has ended for 25-year-old Alec Davis after body was found Monday. Davis went missing after leaving the scene of a car accident May 4 in Suwanee.
"When Alec Davis' parents reached out to our office asking for our help in locating their son, Sheriff Conway didn't hesitate to oblige," reads a Facebook post made by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office.
Suwanee Police investigators have been working hard to locate him since he disappeared last Saturday, May 4 after he was involved in a car accident. There's been no trace of him since that day.

"Our Rapid Response Team deputies have specialized training in search and rescue, so we were honored to provide nearly two dozen staff members this morning to search the heavily wooded area near where Alec was last seen," reads the post. "His parents were on scene early this morning hoping we could help provide some answers by eliminating the possibility that he was in this area.
"The story doesn't have a happy ending. Our deputies located a body we believe to be Alec within two hours of their search, and we had to share the heartbreaking news with his parents. There is no indication of foul play.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Alec's family, who searched extensively for him and enlisted the help of anyone who was willing to do the same. They want everyone to know he was a special young man with a lot of promise and many people who loved him," the post concludes.
Sheriff's deputies acknowledged the dedication of the RRT deputies who methodically searched heavily wooded, difficult terrain in the hopes the information they shared could lead to Alec's safe return.
