Busy Suwanee Intersection to Get Safety Upgrade
The intersection of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Tench Road has multiple schools nearby.

SUWANEE, GA -- The busy intersection at Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Tench Road will be getting safer soon, Gwinnett County officials say.
The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners this week awarded a contract for a pedestrian safety project at the intersection, near Level Creek Elementary School and North Gwinnett Middle School.
"As school winds down, this construction will crank up," District 1 Commissioner Jace Brooks said in a news release. "I’m pleased we have the opportunity and the funding through the voter-approved SPLOST to improve pedestrian safety."

Curb, gutter and drainage improvements also will be part of the $430,842 project, which was awarded to CMES Inc.
The project is funded by Gwinnett County's 2014 special purpose, local-option sales tax. It is expected to be completed in the fall.
