Dead Body Children Found Is 21-Year-Old Missing Person

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death and the police are looking for more clues in the meantime.

SUWANEE, GA – The Gwinnett County Police Department has identified a body found by children Monday near a home on Northcliff Drive in unincorporated Suwanee.

The victim has been identified as Willian A. Tunchez, 21, of Lawrenceville.

Shortly before 5 p.m. Monday, officers assigned to the Central Precinct were dispatched.

At around noon on Monday, Oct. 8, the father of the victim called to report his son as a missing person. He told the tele-serve officer that he had not seen his son since the previous day, Oct. 7 at around 9 p.m. After dropping his sibling off at the home, he told his father that he was going to visit a family member, at an unknown location.

After getting his clothing description, the tele-serve officer listed Willian A. Tunchez as a missing person.

The other family member does not live in the neighborhood of the crime scene. Detectives are still trying to determine what the relation is between Tunchez and the place where his body was found.

Tunchez’s truck was found parked along the curb a few houses away from the crime scene. The vehicle was transported to GCPD Headquarters for processing.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

With the help of the Medical Examiner’s Office, the detectives in the Homicide Unit will work to piece together the final day of Willian and how he died.
