SUWANEE, GA – After a month of practicing during Georgia's stay-at-home order, a local father captured a remarkable moment in his young son's life: his first home run.

Cory Willig, a retired professional baseball player and local hitting instructor a D-Bat Johns Creek, posted the video to his Instagram of his 4-year-old son Ash at the plate of a baseball diamond in Suwanee on May 1. After a pitch from Cory, Ash took a big swing and sent a softball flying over centerfield into a line of trees.

He also had the best reaction: as Ash ran the bases, Willig jumped for joy, cheering him on in elated disbelief.
