Home Depot Thief Arrested In Gwinnett County
The incident happened in May at a Home Depot on 1480 Satellite Boulevard.

The Gwinnett County Police Department (GCPD) has arrested a 36-year-old man who allegedly stole from a Home Depot May 4. Terrill Banks was arrested by Walton County Sheriff’s Office July 29, GCPD said in a news release. He was charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of aggravated assault, and nine counts of shoplifting, GCPD said. Banks' extradition will be arranged by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident May 4 began around 9:30 p.m. at 1480 Satellite Boulevard.
"[The suspect] loaded several boxes of tools into the cart. While approaching the cash registers quickly, a cashier grabbed the shopping cart, assuming the suspect was going to his register," GCPD said. "The suspect pried his body between the Home Depot employee and the cart and displayed a knife with a red handle. He told the employee to let go of the cart. The employee released the shopping cart, and the suspect quickly exited out of the contractor exit."
