Jazz Fest Returns To Suwanee Town Center

SUWANEE, GA — The North Gwinnett Arts Association and WJZA Smooth Jazz 101.1FM, in partnership with the City of Suwanee and ARTober Gwinnett, is pleased to announce the second annual Suwanee Jazz Fest at Suwanee Town Center Park on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 6 -10 p.m.

The event features four of the area’s smoothest and most eclectic solo and group jazz artists for an evening of sounds, tastes, and experiences under the stars. Local eateries, food trucks, and vendors will be jazzing things up with food, drinks, and cocktails to-go, setting an atmosphere for the perfect night out. Concert-goers are welcome to bring chairs and a cooler – glass bottles are not permitted in the park, and alcoholic beverages must be purchased from Town Center merchants (no BYOB). The event is free, but tables for six are available for purchase at NGAA4arts.com.

Jazz Fest Artists

• Carlena Prophet is an Atlanta-based singer-songwriter and worship leader. A native of Augusta, her musical journey began at a young age as both a soloist and member of The Prophets, a gospel group formed by Carlena and her three sisters. Known by her rich and soulful voice, multi-genre artist Carlena just released her first CD project.

• Based in Atlanta, vocalist Greg Robbins has a very resonant and classy sound, compared in style to Johnny Hartman, Harry Connick, Jr., Kurt Elling, and Gregory Porter. He performs throughout the Southeast at jazz clubs, music festivals, wedding receptions, swing dances, and more. Greg's recently recorded debut album On Your Way is now available.
• By fusing classical Beethoven with urban grooves and contemporary sounds, Unknown Lyric is on a mission to make instrumental music cool again. An acoustic, classically-infused instrumental duo out of Atlanta, Unknown Lyric features Jeremiah Turn on guitar and Kevin Grayson on violin. They are the two-time winners of Amateur Night at the Apollo, and were named Atlanta’s Next Best by Smooth Jazz 101.1.
• Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, artist Mix Fina brings a Latin infusion to his jazz style.
