North Gwinnett Teacher Resigns, 'Personal Reasons' Cited

Frank Vashaw also was the varsity head coach for the North Gwinnett High baseball team, where he spent eight seasons with them.

The AJC is reporting that a North Gwinnett High teacher resigned for "personal reasons."

Frank Vashaw -- a history teacher and baseball coach -- is leaving after concerns were raised about "possible inappropriate use of school facilities," according to the AJC.

Gwinnett County school officials said Vashaw resigned before an investigation could be conducted.

As the head baseball coach at North Gwinnett High, Vashaw led the team to 153-91 record in his eight seasons with the Bulldogs, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post.

Now, the school is looking for Vashaw's replacement. In the interim, Ryan Moity is listed as the lead Bulldogs' coach.
