Suwanee Opens Brushy Creek Greenway to Increase Connectivity
The city held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday to celebrate the opening of the nearly complete new greenway.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday evening to commemorate the opening of the Brushy Creek Greenway, the Gwinnett Daily Post reported.
Measuring 10 feet wide, the trail connects sidewalks on Suwanee Dam Road to Stonecypher Road and Main Street, according to the Post. It also connects to the library and PlayTown.
The half mile section was added to the existing greenway system, which now gives Suwanee a total 16 miles of trail throughout the city, the Post reported. The trail is meant to improve connectivity, though aspects like directional signs and an elevated boardwalk are still being completed.
