Suwanee Park To Get a Taste of Wine
The city's first wine festival will be Saturday.

And now, wine.
The first Suwanee Wine Fest will take place in Town Center Park on Saturday (Oct. 5), 1-5 p.m. Organized by the same group (Veugler Design Group) that has put on the Beer Fest the past few years, the event will offer some 250 wines for sampling, and even a grape stomping, according to a news release.
Chateau Elan is a chief sponsor, and will offer a large selection of wines and a setup similar to its winery in the Braselton area.
Other Georgia wineries present will be Three Sisters Vineyards and Habersham Winery, and wineries from California and foreign countries will be represented, the release said.
Persons must be at least 21 years old to attend.
Tickets are $55 in advance and $65 the day of the event, which includes a commemorative glass for the afternoon of wine tasting.
A portion of all proceeds will be donated to Annandale Village of Suwanee, a home for adults with developmental disabilities.
More info is available on the Wine Fest website.
