Suwanee Teams Go 1-1 in Playoff Quarterfinals
High school football playoffs move into the semifinal round.

Suwanee will be represented in the state 6A football semifinals.
North Gwinnett defeated Hillgrove, 35-31, on Friday night in the quarterfinals. However, Collins Hill fell victim to McEachern, 35-32, and was eliminated.
So next Friday, North and McEachern will play to see who makes a trip to the Georgia Dome for the title game. Since both teams are a No. 3 seed, a coin flip will determine the site.
For visiting North, quarterback Hayden Sphire threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Imatorbhebhe with 1:13 remaining for the winning score.
Host Collins Hill fell behind late in its game when McEachern's Taj Griffin returned a punt 85 yards for a touchdown with about a minute remaining. Then the Eagles drove to the McEachern 20 with 10 seconds to play. However, a McEachern interception ended the game before the Eagles had a chance to attempt a game-tying field goal.
Norcross, the defending state champion, and Colquitt County won Friday and will meet in the other 6A semifinal game.
