Suwanee Woman Appointed to State Board

Julianna McConnell joins state garden commission.

Gov. Nathan Deal recently appointed a Suwanee woman to sit on a statewide board focused on gardening.

Julianna McConnell, president and chief executive officer of the Preston Group, Inc., was appointed to the Georgia Women's Garden Commission.

According to a media release, she currently serves as legislative adviser for the Norcross nonprofit Street GRACE, vice chair of the Georgia Commission on Women, and board member of the Georgia Women’s Institute, among other leadership roles.

She is also a 2013 graduate of Leadership Gwinnett.
