Delivery Packages Opened, Theft Reported by Resident

A resident found boxes open on porch that had been shipped, according to police.

A Suwanee resident recently had two boxes of merchandise that were shipped to her residence opened, and an item was taken from one of the boxes, according to police.

According to Suwanee Police records, a resident in the Station Center Boulevard area told police on Dec. 12 that she had ordered several items from Amazon that were to be delivered by UPS.

The resident said no packages had arrived when she arrived home, but her dog started barking at the door about 9 p.m.

The resident discovered two boxes from Amazon sitting open on her porch, police said. One box was open, and the interior packages opened, but no items were missing. The second box was open, and its content, a 3.3-ounce bottle of L'Homme cologne by Yves Saint Laurent, was missing.

Amazon said the package with the cologne supposedly was delivered on Dec. 11 to the residence. However, the resident said that she found no packages on her porch then.

The resident said that she heard or saw nothing suspicious, and also said several other packages had recently arrived unmolested, police said.
