What's Open, Closed Thanksgiving Week In Gwinnett County
State, county and city government offices, the post office, schools and others will be taking a break during the holiday week.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Most government offices and lots of businesses will be closing this week in Gwinnett County as we observe Thanksgiving.
Here's a rundown of what's open and what's closed in Gwinnett for Thanksgiving 2017.
- Gwinnett County government offices, except law enforcement and others required for citizen comfort and safety, will be closed Thursday and Friday. County offices will resume normal operations on Monday. Thursday is a trash and recycling holiday in unincorporated Gwinnett. Collection usually scheduled for Thursday will happen on Friday and usual Friday collection will happen on Saturday.
- Gwinnett County Public Schools are on holiday Monday through Friday. Friday and Saturday will be post-planning and staff development days for teachers and other employees.
- Gwinnett County Public Library branches will be closed Thursday and Friday.
- Gwinnett County Transit does not operate on Thursday.
- Georgia state offices, including driver's services, will be closed Thursday and Friday.
- U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed Thursday.
- Mall of Georgia will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and remain open until 1 a.m. It will reopen at 6 a.m. for Black Friday.
- City offices, including Lawrenceville, Dacula, Peachtree Corners, Loganville, Grayson and Snellville, will be closed Thursday and Friday. Loganville's tree lighting will be Friday from 6-8 p.m.
